Fenerbahce were previously linked with Lucas, who’s looking for a move away from Arsenal this summer after just one year in north London. However, the reports fizzled out due to the Gunners demanding £16m for the 28-year-old.
According to Fanatik [via talkSPORT], the Turkish club have revived their interest in the forward and could move for him this summer after all. They’re even set for talks this week… although it’ll be for a loan move rather than a permanent deal.
Fenerbahce aren’t the only club keen on taking Lucas off Arsene Wenger’s hands.
His former club Deportivo, who Arsenal signed him for £17m from last season, as well as Espanyol, Sevilla, and Malaga, are all said to be willing to bring the forward back to Spain this summer.
Lucas has three years left on his current deal with the Gunners. However, after only making 21 appearances over all competitions last season, he’s eager to leave in search of more playing time.
The Spaniard, who dreams of playing for his country, also spent a combined 82 days injured last term.
