Arsenal reportedly want to sign Toulouse goalkeeper, Alban Lafont, to challenge Petr Cech.

Despite Toulouse manager, Pascal Dupraz, denying that Lafont will be going anywhere this summer just days ago, Arsenal are still being linked with the 18-year-old goalkeeper.

In fact, it’s now being reported that the Gunners want to sign the France u20 international as competition for Cech, who seems to be coming to the end of his career at the age of 35.

With Wojciech Szczesny about to sign for Juventus, and David Ospina probably leaving for Fenerbahce, Arsenal are on the look-out for a decent shot-stopper and Arsene Wenger is apparently eyeing up Lafont.

Although, with all due respect, why Arsenal would willing give up a goalkeeper like Woj for this kid is still beyond most Gooners. Myself included.

Lafont still has three years left on his deal with Toulouse.

He kept 10 clean sheets in 36 Ligue 1 appearances last season.
