David Ospina clattered Chelsea’s Pedro during a pre-season friendly on Saturday and fans from both sides are annoyed.

  • Ospina caused Pedro to get subbed after horror challenge
  • Goalkeeper did the same to Oscar in 2015
  • Fans from both sides unimpressed

Ospina flew into Pedro in what was a stupid, needless ‘challenge’ during Arsenal’s pre-season friendly against Chelsea.

The incident, which you can watch in the video above, left Pedro noticeably disoriented and bleeding, which led to him being subbed off.

Oddly, this isn’t the first time the goalkeeper has clattered a Chelsea player.

Back in 2015, in a similar move, Ospina launched himself into Oscar, who looked visibly shaken by the collision.

Not only are Chelsea fans annoyed with the Colombia international’s careless tackles on their players, Gooners are frustrated that, once again, Ospina is proving himself to be a liability.

The 28-year-old’s blunder doesn’t come at the best time considering Arsenal sold #1-in-waiting (or so we thought) Wojciech Szczesny to Juventus midweek.

Now, pretty much any time Ospina pulls an… Ospina, all Gooners can this is, ‘Woj wouldn’t have done that’.
