Nice left-back, Dalbert, is reportedly ready to reject all moves by Arsenal in the hope he can force through a move to Inter Milan.
The 23-year-old, who has only recently been linked with a move to Arsenal, apparently received an ‘impressive proposal’ from the Gunners, but has not been swayed by the club’s interest despite Arsenal being details as ‘serious contenders’.
Nice are not prepared to let him go for anything less than his €30m release clause even though they only signed him a year ago for €2m from Vitoria Guimaraes.
The link did seem a strange one given Arsenal have only just signed Sead Kolasinac. Many expect Kieran Gibbs to leave this summer, but with Nacho Monreal also at the club it was hard to see where a player of Dalbert’s pedigree would fit. After all, you don’t spent that sort of money on a squad player and Kolasinac’s wages would indicate he’s not at the club to warm the bench either.
It’s a shame, if for no other reason than my love of Dilbert and my desire to bore everybody with it which would happen had Arsenal signed a player called Dalbert…perhaps not that much of a shame after all….
