Hector Bellerin’s agent is said to be in negotiations with Barcelona as he tries to engineer a move away from Arsenal.
- Barcelona’s relentless interest in Bellerin continues
- Reports say Bellerin’s agent is talking with Barcelona
- They state that Bellerin will ask to leave Arsenal
The Bellerin to Barcelona stories never end.
Despite the player saying he’s happy at Arsenal and despite the fact he signed a six-year-deal just recently, Spanish press remain convinced that he wants to leave Arsenal.
The latest report comes from Sport via The Sun, who claim that Bellerin will ask Arsene Wenger to leave now the U21 European Championships are out the way.
Bellerin’s agent is believed to be already discussing terms with Barcelona.
The report says Bellerin will not force a move out of respect for Wenger and Arsenal, but stress he will do “what’s necessary” should he have to.
Interestingly, this report makes no reference to previous claims that the deal looked “impossible” because of Arsenal’s refusal to sell.
It’s possible that Bellerin does, in fact, want to join Barcelona. But as it stands, Arsenal do not want to sell, and the player has little leverage in the situation.
