Arsenal are reportedly interested in Real Madrid winger, Marco Asensio.

According to Diario Gol, Arsenal, Liverpool, and even Juventus are still interested in Asensio, who only played 1,918 minutes for Real Madrid last season. That’s the equivalent of just 21.3 full 90-minute matches, or 50 minutes per appearance.

It was previously claimed that the young Spaniard wanted to move away from the Bernabeu in search of regular minutes. He was also heavily rumoured to be signing a new deal with the La Liga giants, which would apparently include a monstrous £309m release clause.

However, with James Rodriguez and Alvaro Morata both set to leave Real this summer, it’s likely that Asensio’s time on the pitch will improve next season if he chooses to stay.

Liverpool are thought to have the edge over the Gunners, since they can offer Champions League football.

Despite his limited time on the pitch for Los Blancos last season, the 21-year-old still scored 10 goals and assisted four in all competitions.

The Spain international has been at Real since 2014, when he signed from Mallorca, and he has five years left on his current deal.
