Manchester City are confident of bringing Alexis Sanchez to the Etihad, and could be looking at Mbappe as well.

  • Alexis is Guardiola’s first choice for strengthening the attack
  • City hope £50m will secure deal
  • Kylian Mbappe could also be a target for City

According to the Manchester Evening News, Alexis is Guardiola’s first choice target in attack and the Manchester club is increasingly confident £50m will be enough to get the deal done.

Arsenal do not want to sell the player to a rival and will be hoping Bayern Munich follow through on their interest should they be forced to sell the Chilean.

City have not ruled out targeting Monaco forward Kylian Mbappe as well.

They have been put off by Monaco’s £100m asking price, but a failure to sign Alexis could change things.

Arsenal are also interested in Mbappe and are believed to have bid £87m for him.

The bid has since been rejected.
