No sooner had Arsenal reportedly bid €100m for Monaco striker, Kylian Mbappe, they’ve had it rejected.

As we reported earlier this (Friday) morning, Arsenal are reportedly ready to pull out all the stops this summer and are looking to sign Monaco starlet Mbappe.

Arsene Wenger has admitted that he likes the player and has looked into buying him before but also understands that Arsenal can’t compete financially with the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester City – the other teams linked.

The report in L’Equipe claimed that while Arsenal were willing to pay €100m for the 18-year-old, City and Real had already apparently put in ‘verbal offers’ of €120m, which would obviously explain why the Gunners had their bid rejected, if they made one in the first place, that is.
