AC Milan, Inter Milan are Roma are said to be ahead of Arsenal in their bid to sign Mateo Kovacic.
- The Croatian midfielder has been a backup for Madrid
- AC Milan, Inter Milan and Roma are the favourites
- Arsenal and Tottenham seen as “less viable”
Kovacic is another Madrid player who has struggled for first team minutes as he’s found himself as a backup to the likes of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.
Diario Gol report that the Croatian could be on the way out of Madrid as he wants more first team opportunities.
Arsenal, Tottenham, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Roma are all interested in signing, but the offers from England are apparently “less viable”.
The report doesn’t explain why, but they seem convinced that if Kovacic is going anywhere, it’ll be to Italy.
Kovacic played for Inter Milan before he moved to Real Madrid. The prospect of returning to Italy may be appealing to him.
