Portuguese striker and Arsenal-target Andre Silva is close to completing a move to AC Milan.
- The Porto striker has been tracked by Arsenal this season
- Milan have moved quickly to get a deal done
- Silva will soon have a medical with Milan
The Serie A giants have moved quickly to agree a £35.5m fee for the Porto striker and it seems he’ll soon be having a medical, reports talkSPORT.
Arsenal had been tracking Andre Silva all season and there were stories that he could move to the Emirates this summer. However, the Gunners are believed to have turned their attentions elsewhere which will result in Milan completing a deal to sign him.
The 21-year-old had a breakthrough season in Portugal, scoring 21 goals in 44 appearances for Porto. He already has seven goals in just eight caps for Portugal’s national team. Silva made the UEFA Champions League Breakthrough Team of the Year for 2016 too.
Arsenal have been linked with a host of strikers around Europe, including Mauro Icardi, Andrea Belotti, Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Kylian Mbappe this summer.
It seems Andre Silva will be the latest name on the list of players the Gunners have missed out on.
