Arsenal have rekindled their interest in Milan forward M’Baye Niang according to recent reports.

  • Everton are seriously interested in signing Niang
  • They could face competition from Arsenal

The Milan forward is a target for Everton and their Director of Football, Steve Walsh, was reportedly in Milan to get a deal done.

However, reports now claim that they’ll face competition from Arsenal.

Niang was once on trial at Arsenal while he was a teenager at Caen, but seemingly didn’t do enough to earn to convince Arsene Wenger to sign him.

He went on to join AC Milan and has since been linked on-and-off with Arsenal.

Niang spent the second half of last season at loan at Watford and was part of the side that beat Arsenal 2-1 at the Emirates.

Watford had the option of making the move permanent, but have chosen not to.

Arsenal will have an interest in most young forwards around Europe, but it’s safe to say they’re probably setting their sights higher at the moment.
