Arsenal have reportedly come to an agreement for the transfer of Alexandre Lacazette after Lyon accepted a €50m (£44m) bid from Arsenal.

Widespread reports claim that Lyon’s president, Jean-Michel Aulas, is happy with the fee but that Arsenal need to come to some sort of arrangement with the player.

Negotiations are set to take place ‘early next week’ according to Radio Monte Carlo with the terms of payment to be discussed, as well as the player’s willingness to move to a non-Champions League club which Arsenal are, for the new season at least.

Lacazette has been long linked with Arsenal but it seems as if this summer could finally be the one that sees Arsene Wenger get his man.

What this means for Olivier Giroud is not yet clear but the handsome Frenchman believes that he will be more than able to compete for his place against his compatriot while Wenger has said he is not looking to sell Giroud.
