Arsenal have allegedly discovered how much it’ll cost them to bring prolific Lyon striker, Alexandre Lacazette, to north London this summer.

According to the Telegraph, Lacazette will set Arsenal back an initial fee of £48.7m (€55m), plus £10.6m (€12m) in add-ons, which, in total, comes to just under the £60m price tag previously reported.

With Arsene Wenger’s supposed £150m warchest, the club should have no issue paying this.

The Gunners have been chasing the 26-year-old since last summer when Lyon publicly rejected a bid of around £31m, and it appears that this time they’re very serious about signing the France international, who scored 28 Ligue 1 goals in 30 appearances last season.

story trackerLacazette himself seems keen for a move, even hinting recently that his next club doesn’t have to have Champions League football, and while he did prefer a switch to La Liga side, Atletico Madrid, they’ve had their transfer ban upheld and therefore, while a move there is still possible, he probably won’t sign for them this summer.

Could Arsene Wenger’s apparent pursuit of the wantaway Lyon star mean that Alexis Sanchez is definitely leaving north London this summer?

All we can do is wait and see.
