Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette has once again been named as Arsenal’s priority signing this summer.

The striker has scored 24 Ligue 1 goals in 28 appearances for Lyon this season and while 10 of these have been penalties, this is still a brilliant tally.

With Alexis Sanchez’s future at Arsenal in doubt, the Mirror are once again claiming that the Gunners are lining up a replacement and Lacazette appears to be the man they’ve settled on.

Again.

Arsenal allegedly put in a bid for Lacazette last season, which Lyon publicly rejected before offering the 25-year-old a new deal with a €70m release clause.

Knowing that no one in their right mind would pay that for him, Lacazette refused to sign the new deal.

His current contract runs out in 2019.

The only issue for Arsenal is that Lacazette says that he wants Champions League football next season and the Gunners look unlikely to finish in the top four.
