Robert Pires has admitted that Tottenham have had a good season, but wanting to swap Arsenal’s for theirs is not something he would feel comfortable with.

Speaking to bwin, the former Arsenal star, said, “It’s difficult to admit that and would I swap, no, but I hope we won’t need to. Tottenham are playing extremely well this season and are fighting for the league.

“Pochettino is a very good manager and the quality of his team is much better than when I played against them. But to choose having Tottenham’s season over Arsenal wouldn’t be right for me.”

Tottenham, as you might have heard, are poised to finish above Arsenal for the first time in over two decades and this could be their last chance to pull off such an extraordinary feat.

Speaking to the press ahead of the game, Arsnee Wenger served up a warning for Tottenham – based on his own experience of moving stadiums.

“[It’s] very difficult, much more you can imagine,” Wenger said .

“First of all, you face financial restrictions, which we did. Overall, it might be less in future because you have more income.

“Secondly because you don’t feel at home like you were before. And you need to recreate a kind of history to feel comfortable and to feel like you play at home. I would say it can take two years [to feel at home].”
