After allegedly turning down a new Arsenal deal because it wasn’t happy with the financial package the club were offering, Alexis Sanchez reportedly met with PSG’s chairman.
L’Equipe [via Metro] claim that the Ligue 1 club have the upper hand since Arsenal really don’t want to sell to Premier League rivals. And although Juventus have also been linked, it’s unclear whether they’ll be able to meet is £50m asking price.
While Alexis claims he wants to stay at Arsenal for the remainder of his contract, this leaves the Gunners in an incredibly weak position considering if they don’t sell him now, he can go wherever he wants for free next season.
They either allow their best player to swan out the exit and get some money, or they risk getting nothing and seeing him strength a direct rival.
