L’Equipe are claiming that Alexis Sanchez has already rejected a new contract from Arsenal because it was not ‘lucrative enough’.

The player, who wants everyone to believe his contract dispute is down to not being competitive on the field, has been linked with outrageous wage demands.

Recently we’ve heard tales of Arsenal smashing their wage structure to give him nearly £300k-per-week in a bid to get him to stay at the club.

L’Equipe also believe that PSG are one of the leading contenders to sign Alexis this summer with a departure possible. Sanchez, for his part, has said that he wants to see out his contract but it’s unlikely Arsenal will want to lose him for free next summer.

Manchester City are said to be ready to pay £50m for him this summer while Chelsea are also looking to make him their main summer signing.

The Manchester Evening News believe that Pep Guardiola is becoming more confident of landing him. Arsenal, if they had to see to one of Chelsea or City would certainly far rather see Alexis go north than across the city. They would prefer, however, according to L’Equipe, to ship him out of the Premier League altogether.
