Hector Bellerin’s representatives have denied reports that Barcelona chief Robert Fernandez had flown to London this week to discuss signing the right-back from Arsenal.

  • Arsenal signed Bellerin from Barcelona’s academy in 2011
  • Bellerin broke into Arsenal’s first team in 2015
  • Bellerin signed a new long-term deal with Arsenal at the end of last year
  • Bellerin feels like he owes Wenger

Despite Bellerin only signing a new, shiny deal with Arsenal at the end of last year, which is rumoured to take him up to 2023, the Catalan giants are said to be making the Spaniard their priority signing in the summer.

With Arsene Wenger, one of the main reasons the 22-year-old extended in the first place, potentially leaving once his contract runs out at the end of the campaign, Barca apparently reckon that Bellerin can be swayed.

It was even reported recently that Fernandez, Barca’s sporting director, was traveling to London this week for talks with Bellerin’s people.

Fortunately, Bellerin’s reps have since allegedly denied the claims.
