Krystian Bielik has only been at Birmingham a few months but the youngster has already made a massive impression.
- Bielik has made 4 Championship appearances for Birmingham
- He received his first Poland u19 cap on Thursday against Turkey
- Arsenal signed him for £1.91m from Legia Warsaw in 2015
- Bielik only turned 19 in January
“I’ve spent some time with Krystian and really like him. He’s really mature and is a big talent,” said Tomasz Kuszczak, Birmingham’s keeper and a fellow Pole.
“It’s no accident that a massive club like Arsenal signed him at a young age.
“He’s proved he can easily play at this level and I’m sure he can play at the top level in the Premier League.
“He had a really good game against Newcastle.
“I got the man-of-the- match but I think he deserved it more than me.
“Before he came to Birmingham I hadn’t seen him play because he’d been playing in the Under-23s for Arsenal.
“But of course, that is a big difference.
“I enjoy playing with him. He’s good on the ball, he always gives you a good pass and never puts you into trouble and he’s confident and I wish him all the best.”
Gianfranco Zola, manager of the Blues, has singled him out for praise after matches this season.
Meanwhile, the player himself is absolutely loving life on loan with the Championship side and is keen to return to the league next season.
