PSG have reportedly been in touch with Benfica’s Goncalo Guedes’ agent, Jorges Mendes, with an eye towards a January move according to a report in Portugal based on one from France.
Arsenal have been scouting the player for a while now and reportedly held a meeting for the player last summer. Impressing during the latest scouting operation – he scored two goals – rumours intensified about Arsenal’s interest, however the 20-year-old comes with a whopping £52m release clause which is just ridiculous.
But not for a club like PSG.
While not meeting Benfica’s valuation of the player, they have reportedly submitted a €30m offer for the player which is approximately £3.15m less than the £25m bid Valencia were said to have had rejected.
As you can see, nobody really seems to know what’s going on.
A Bola claim their information came from RMC Sport Radio, a French station.
For the record, Mendes is the agent of Jose Mourinho and Diego Costa, amongst others.
