Arsenal, as well as most of the teams in the Premier League, are still reportedly chasing Monaco forward, Kylian Mbappe.
The 17-year-old has been linked with a move to Arsenal, Liverpool, PSG, Juventus and Manchester City during 2016, with his father even telling L’Equipe that he’s unhappy with how his son is being treated at Monaco.
“This is also why I do not really understand the strategy,” he said.
“I do not see what they have to gain from this situation that creates more frustration. It does not make Kylian happy and it shows on his face during the week.
“Some will say he is only seventeen years old, needs to calm down, but it’s not impatience, because the club themselves said he would play. As he needs at his age, there will be a reflection ahead of the winter transfer window.”
This season, Mbappe has made eight Ligue 1 appearances, scored three goals and assisted five. Not bad at all for a teenager.
He also played 25 minutes in the Champions League, picking up minutes against Bayer Leverkusen and CSKA Moscow at home and away.
However, someone from his camp (gosh, I wonder who) still isn’t happy because he’s now being linked with not just moves to the aforementioned clubs, including Arsenal, but Manchester United, West Ham and Spurs. Blimey.
Are Arsenal interested? Sure. Maybe. However, it seems he wants a move and isn’t afraid to let everyone know about it so it could be nothing.
