Jack Wilshere has been handed the no.32 shirt while on loan with Bournemouth.

The midfielder completed his loan move to the Cherries on transfer deadline day in hope of him getting regular playing time, something that’s simply not possible at Arsenal right now.

Upon signing for the club, Wilshere expressed his delight via social media, claiming that Bournemouth is the best place for him right now in order to develop.

To be fair, it probably helps having his BFF Benik Afobe at the club, but it’s a pretty brave decision on Jack’s part. He’s choosing to go out on a season-long loan so that he can be part of Arsenal’s future.

The 24-year-old has the coveted no.10 shirt at Arsenal but obviously has a much higher number while on loan at another team.

At the moment, there doesn’t seem to be any particular significance behind the number itself. Maybe we’ll find out in the future?

The shirt was previously worn by Eunan O’Kane.
