Alexis Sanchez has said that Claudio Bravo has made a good decision to leave Barcelona to join Manchester City as England has the “best football in the world.”

Sanchez captained his country for the first time as they played out a 0-0 draw earlier in the week against Bolivia in their World Cup qualifier.

The team came in for a lot of criticism after the stalemate, which followed a defeat by Paraguay, but Alexis is not worried about that either.

Sanchez told the press that the draw was an opportunity to “put your feet back on the ground” alluding to the highs of the Copa America win in the summer, before adding that to qualify for Russia 2018 Chile must “raise its head, as we have always done.

“Nothing has been easy. Sometimes you have to lose to realise what we have ahead.”

He stressed that he “did not lack motivation,” before highlighting how other sides will raise their games against them as “all the teams play, eager to win because we are the champions.”

Asked about Bravo’s move from Barca to City, Sanchez said, “I made the same decision to leave Barcelona to go to England, which for me has the best football in the world, [it] is very competitive.”
