If you’ve been keeping a list of all the forwards Arsenal have been linked with during this transfer window, you can scratch Jese Rodriguez from it because he’s signed for PSG.

Real Madrid released a statement on Monday afternoon, saying, “Real Madrid CF and Paris Saint-Germain have agreed the transfer of the player Jesse Rodriguez. The club wants to show its appreciation for the years of dedication and professionalism from the quarry to the first team and wishes him luck in his new career.”

The link between Arsenal and Jese was short-lived and seemed to come solely from the imagination of some journalist somewhere. It first surfaced this year in May when both Arsenal and Manchester City were said to be interested in him, but the links died away quickly only to resurface at the end of last month.

The 23-year-old will cost the French champions a reported £21.25m.

Jese made a total of 63 La Liga appearances for Real Madrid, scoring 13 and assisting 12. He played just a total of 1,954 minutes, an average of 31 minutes per game.

He scored 22 with 12 assists in his 38 La Liga 2 games, with a total scoring record in all competitions of 40 goals and 28 assists in 133 games (average 47 minutes per game).

That aint bad.
