New Arsenal signing, Lucas Perez, has explained what the fans can expect for him when he sets foot on the pitch as a Gunner.

As Arsene Wenger also said, Lucas isn’t just about scoring goals, he loves an assist. Last season, for example, he scored 17 goals and assisted 11 for Deportivo in La Liga. As he says, he enjoys playing off others.

“Well, I think I’m a pacy player,” the 27-year-old told Arsenal.com.

“I like to link up and combine with my team-mates, playing one-twos to work a shot. I don’t want to put myself in a box, I hope that the Arsenal fans can see for themselves and enjoy watching me.”

Lucas’ pace will give us another advantage considering Olivier Giroud isn’t the quickest. Of course, this means many write the big France international off but luckily most Gooners see past this. He’s not a bad striker BUT Lucas will give us another string to our bow up front.

Although I doubt we’ll see Lucas and Oli play next to each other unless the Spaniard is pushed out wide, he does give us the Plan B we’ve desperately been lacking over the past couple of seasons.

Fortunately, Lucas doesn’t play for Spain’s national squad so he should be able to get involved in training pretty soon.
