Isco’s father, Paco Alarcón, has spoken to the media about speculation surrounding the Real Madrid player’s future; he insists that his son isn’t going anywhere, nor does he want to.

Isco has been linked with AC Milan and Arsenal, despite neither transfer being likely. However, the 24-year-old’s father has put an end to it by claiming that Isco wants to extend his contract with the Spanish club and that the rumours regarding his future at the club don’t bother him in the slightest.

“Isco’s wish is to continue his adventure at Real Madrid and he hopes to extend his contract,” Paco Alarcón said.

“In recent weeks many rumors have surfaced, but they do not interest us. So far we have received no offer – Not from Milan or from any other club.”

Isco certainly looked happy enough as he celebrated Real Madrid 3-2 Super Cup win over Sevilla on Tuesday.

I’m not going to lie, I’m slightly relieved. No offence to Isco (I know he’s an avid reader of Daily Cannon) but if someone hadn’t put their foot on this rumour, it was just going to burn and burn. Arsenal are being linked to just about every player with a pulse right now (and some without) so it’s getting more than a little boring reading and writing about people we know we aren’t even a little bit interested in signing.

Let’s move on, shall we?
