A report in Spain is claiming that Wolfsburg could actually be open to selling Julian Draxler after all if they land Simone Zaza in addition to Mario Gomez.
The German made it very clear that he wants to leave Wolfsburg while his club responded with the football version of ‘tough.’
That position, these reports claim, has shifted recently even though they were urging him to remain at the club to aid his development.
Arsenal are also said to have offered €50m for Draxler, a player they have been linked with for a number of seasons
This piece featured in Fichajes and they are far from reliable when it comes to transfer rumours, but as it’s been picked up and is starting to spread around the internet, we thought we’d best address it before it gets out of hand.
As of 11th August, Wolfsburg were denying receiving any bid and were hoping to hold on to him, at least until his €75m release clause comes into play next summer.
Given that’s the value they have on him, even if Arsenal have offered €50m, which I highly doubt, Wolfsburg are probably too busy laughing to reply.
