Has Carlos Bacca performed the quickest U-turn in history and agreed a deal with West Ham?
Despite his club pushing for the move, the AC Milan striker previously turned down a move to the Hammers because he wanted Champions League football. However, according to West Ham chairman, David Sullivan’s son, Jack, a deal has been agreed and Bacca will notify the club if he’s going in the next couple of days.
We have agreed a fee with AC Milan on Bacca and he has said, he will tell us in the next 48 hours if he is coming!!

The British media have also started to report the same thing. However, since Sullivan tweeted about it first, it’s very probable that they’re all just copying him since he is technically ‘ITK’.
To me, this smacks of the almost-30-year-old holding out for a better deal elsewhere and if a team in the Champions League came in for him now, I’m sure he’d jump at the chance.
Saying this, if Milan are after £30m from another team for the Colombian, they could be left disappointed.
If Bacca’s willing to forego Champions League football – & a move to Spain, which he’s been holding out for – great signing by West Ham IMO

Arsenal were linked with Macca, who scored 18 goals in 38 Serie A appearances last season, briefly but given his age, we probably weren’t seriously interested. This is no disrespect to the player as I’m sure he’ll be a stunning signing for West Ham.
What’s worrying is that although we don’t want to pay £30m for a 29-year-old…someone is surely better than no one?
If you hate yourself, like I do, watch him in action for Milan.
