If you thought Arsenal triggering Jamie Vardy’s release clause was just one massive bit of banter, then hop off the banter bus because the Ornacle has spoken and it’s true!
Yes, David Ornstein, authority extraordinaire, has confirmed the news that broke earlier that Arsenal have done exactly that.

Vardy’s release clause is said to be £20m although the Guardian are reporting that Leicester have not given up hope of keeping one of their main men.
At £20m and coming off the back of the season he’s just had, you can’t help but think that would be a great price.
But would he fit at Arsenal?
Would we change things up to accommodate him?
And, at 29, can he, like Robin van Persie for United, win us the league before his star declines rapidly as he enters his 30s?
