According to Guardian writer, Stuart James, Arsenal have triggered Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy’s release clause.

The Leicester striker, who Arsene Wenger values upwards of £30m, only signed a new contract with the Foxes in February but Arsenal are currently being said to have triggered his release clause.

The 29-year-old scored 24 Premier League goals in 26 appearances last season and has proven that he’s clinical but, at this moment, not many people have faith that we’re even interested in the striker.

If we’ve genuinely triggered his release clause, no matter how highly you rate him, this shows a massive statement of intent.
