Danny Welbeck‘s brother, Chris, has just helped Marcus Rashford negotiate a new contract with Manchester United.
The Arsenal striker’s brother joined forces with Rashford’s to get the 18-year-old a £25,000-a-week contract, according to the Mail.
It’s completely understandable that Welbeck’s family would still have ties with and probably even support the Red Devils. They were born and bred in Manchester, with Danny coming up through the academy. In fact, I doubt the 25-year-old saw himself playing anywhere else, especially with a rival.

His brother probably still lives up north and, since Rashford came through the system, similarly to Danny, the fact that they all know each other isn’t a great shock in the slightest.
Welbz is currently sidelined for another nine months after picking up a knee injury against Manchester City, just weeks after returning. He misses out on the Euros, which is a huge blow. Hopefully, he’ll return to us and not United, as the media has been suggesting.
