Alexis Sanchez has, once again, proven why he’s so important to Arsenal.

The forward scored a staggering 42 goals in all competitions since signing for Arsenal two seasons ago – not to mentioned 23 assists. This is more than any other Gunner.

Although we already know how valuable the Chilean is, particularly to our attack, seeing the statistics laid out proves why we need to keep hold of him at all costs. With two years left on his contract in north London, Wenger has said that we’ll be trying to tie him, as well as Mesut Ozil, down to a new one once the season is over. However, if reports are to be believed, the boss and player aren’t exactly seeing eye-to-eye right now after the forward was subbed off in the 84th minute against Norwich and allegedly stormed out of the stadium.

Hopefully, if the rumours are true, this can all be worked out.
