In what seems like the quickest decision ever, West Ham have had their appeal against Cheikhou Kouyate’s red card upheld and the player will now be available for the game against Arsenal at the weekend.
With even Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew saying that the sending off was harsh (even if it benefitted his team) it seemed likely that the Hammers would win their appeal.
They had originally said they wouldn’t be appealing it but changed their mind as is their right.
Kouyate will no doubt lineup against the Gunners on Saturday as both sides chase maximum points in their chase for the top four this season.
