As Arsenal get used to life without Aaron Ramsey for the next load of weeks, Leicester’s incredible luck with injury continues.
On Tuesday night, Arsenal picked up three new injuries, although thankfully only one of them is anything to be concerned with. During the weekend’s game Riyad Mahrez seemed to pull up with a hamstring problem. He played on before being subbed off with five minutes remaining.
For an Arsenal player, that would mean at least three weeks on the sidelines, but not Leicester.
Mahrez is fine, training and expected to be fit for the weekend.
“Everybody is in good condition. There are no problems,” Claudio Ranieri told the media at his press conference on Thursday. “It was a little cramp.”
One of the main reasons Leicester have been able to be so consistent this season is the lack of injuries, especially to key players, that they have suffered.
While Arsenal have amassed 186 injury points this campaign (one player out for one week = one point) Leicester sit in second-to-last place in this season’s Injury League table with just under a third of that total – 63.
Still. Leicester. What the hell?
