I hate to be the bearer of bad news but Mike Dean has been appointed referee for our FA Cup match against Hull.
Remember Mike Dean? The man who sent off Gabriel and Santi Cazorla in our match at Stamford Bridge in September but allowed Diego Costa to continue rampaging around the pitch. Gooners were so annoyed after his appalling display that we even petitioned to get him out of the Premier League (to be fair, it got almost 100,000 signatures)!
Dean has been criticised in the past for wanting to be the centre of attention during every match he’s officiating, which means he makes huge calls that have either been unnecessary or just plain wrong. He loves a card and awarding the opposing team a penalty, and we’ve failed to win almost 58% of the matches he’s refereed.
There’s a reason why his name strikes fear into the hearts of Gooners (and probably Arsene Wenger) and if you take a look at how Twitter has responded to the news… The Hull match will have an interesting atmosphere…
Oh my is Mike dean actually gonna be ref at the Emirates?

Hate Mike Dean so much. Worst referee in England by far.

The FA really don’t want Arsenal to retain the FA Cup.
Mike Dean named as referee in our match against Hull.
