Mikel Arteta was one of the players to get a run out in training ahead of Arsenal’s clash against Sunderland.

The midfielder, who’s been sidelined with injury, appeared for the youth team earlier in the week and now looks likely to get the nod in our match in the FA Cup against Sunderland on Saturday.

Also involved was Hector Bellerin, who tweeted a picture earlier in the week of himself on a ‘weekend’ holiday to Amsterdam, seemingly hinting that he wouldn’t be playing at the weekend. Although obviously that no longer seems to be the case.

Youngsters Krystian Bielik, Chris Willock, Reiss Nelson were also in attendance, suggesting that we’ll be seeing a mix of experienced and second-string players for the cup match.

Although it’s important that we take the competition seriously, it’s also vital that we use it to get the likes of Arteta back to fitness as he may not get many other chances.
