Hector Bellerin shared a picture on his social media of him on a weekend break in Amsterdam.

The picture plus caption is more or less confirmation that the right-back won’t be featuring in our FA Cup tie against Sunderland on Saturday.

The Spaniard has been a regular starter so far this season, except for a short period where he was sidelined with a minor injury, and he’s probably well overdue a rest.

Considering Bellerin featured on Saturday against Newcastle, I think it’s safe to say the picture wasn’t from the previous weekend.

The fact that it also looks like Mesut Ozil will be rested is another indicator that we’re likely to see a second-string side against the Black Cats, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing considering how intense our fixtures have been over the festive period.

Hopefully those not involved enjoy their rest and return ready for battle against Liverpool at Anfield on Wednesday.
