Reports are emerging that Championship side Nottingham Forest want Alex Iwobi.

Although it appears they only want him on loan, the forward is currently enjoying a successful season at Arsenal. After scoring in the Emirates Cup for the senior squad, the 19-year-old has gone on to feature six times for the u21s, scoring once and assisting two.

The youngster even recently got his first call-up for Nigeria.

There’s no way I can see us getting rid of Iwobi on a permanent deal but a loan spell at a Championship club like Nottingham Forest could be useful.

However, at this point, with the lad having such a successful season so far with the Arsenal u21s, it’d be interesting to see how that pans out and give him the chance to properly break into the senior team.

Iwobi was included on the bench in our recent Capital One Cup win against Spurs, so although he’s on the fringes, he’s still included.
