Writing on his Instagram page on Friday, Aouchiche confirmed he’ll leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer. He wrote: “A page is turning, thank you Paris for all these unforgettable moments.”

This just confirms the reports from last month that Aouchiche recently informed PSG he didn’t plan to extend his contract. As a result, he’ll now leave the club on a free transfer.

Saint-Etienne are the most strongly-linked club at the moment, but Arsenal were definitely among others in the race in the last couple of months. Stade Rennais, Lille and Leicester City also got a mention.

Aouchiche reportedly wants a €4m signing-on fee from his new club and €25,000-a-week. Most importantly, he’ll choose the best sporting project for him, looking for immediate first-team opportunities.

That obviously makes things a bit more difficult for a club like Arsenal, whereas the likes of Saint-Etienne are well-placed.

The 17-year-old scored nine goals in five matches at last year’s u17 European Championship. He made his senior PSG debut this season, scoring in one of his three appearances.
