Nicolas Pepe’s shirt number at Lille – 19 – is available at Arsenal for the forward when he completes his record move to the club.

Arsenal are expected to complete the signing of 24-year-old Nicolas Pepe this week with his medical taking place on Monday afternoon and the player already pictured at London Colney.

I thought I’d take a look and see what shirt numbers are available for the player who is about to become the most expensive in Arsenal’s history.

There aren’t many but, thankfully, the shirt number he wears at Lille is available – the number 19.

This number clearly means something to Pepe as he also wore it at Angers and while on loan with US Orleans.

He also wears the number 19 for the Ivory Coast.

Pepe has also worn the 10 on occasion, but, it is the 19 that is seen as ‘his’ number.

Other numbers available at Arsenal are the 3 (hopefully going to Kieran Tierney), 12 and 13, 22, 23, 32, and 33.
