Under contract with the Belgian side until 2022, Ruslan Malinovskyi is now ready to take the next step in his career by heading to a more competitive league.

The central midfielder has caught the attention of Napoli, Roma and Spartak Moscow in addition to the Gunners who are looking to replace Aaron Ramsey.

“I am now 26 years old, the age at which if you need to take a step forward and try to get a stronger championship. After three years in Belgium, I think I’m ready for it,” the Ukranian said.

Malinovskyi joined Genk in 2016 from Shakhtar Donetsk and has made 130 appearances for them scoring 30 goals and assisting 32.

He is currently valued at around £10m, a price that is perfect for Arsenal’s budget.
