Arsenal are reportedly monitoring Ghana’s Thomas Partey according to reports from the country.

The 25-year-old defensive midfielder currently plays for Atletico Madrid where he’s under contract until 2023.

Despite what his home country press called ‘an outstanding 17/18’ that included playing over 50 games and winning the Europa League, Thomas has averaged only 42 minutes per game this season and Diego Simeone is said to be on the look-out for a replacement.

Juventus’ Rodrigo Bentancur is said to head his list.

PSG seem to be the club most strongly linked with a move for Thomas, who also has a goal and two assists this season. Thomas Tuchel, Ghanaweb write, is a long-time fan of the player and could make a move for him in January.

Arsenal, for their part, are said to be ‘keeping an eye’ on the Ghanain as they look around for an Aaron Ramsey replacement.
