Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle United and AS Roma are monitoring Lucas Vazquez, following reports that the winger might leave Real Madrid over a lack of playing time in pre-season.

According to Don Balon, Vazquez is unhappy with hardly featuring under Zinedine Zidane this summer and could ask for a transfer if he’s left out of tonight’s Super Cup clash with Manchester United.

The 26-year-old made 33 La Liga appearances for the eventual champions last season, but only 12 of them were starts. He’s been used sparingly in pre-season and is considering his future as a result.

Premier League trio Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle United and Italian Serie A giants AS Roma are believed to be keen on his signature and may submit a formal offer if Vazquez does request a transfer.

The unhappy winger is believed to have told his teammates that he could be on the move ahead of the new season, especially with the rumours of Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe potentially making the switch to the Santiago Bernabéu, which would further hamper Vazquez’s playing time.

Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo and Isco are all currently ahead of the Spanish winger in Zidane’s estimates, which could boost Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle and Roma’s hopes of signing him. Roma could lead the chase, with sporting director Monchi having long been keen on the 26-year-old.
