Arsène Wenger is preparing to meet with Alexis Sánchez and Hector Bellerín to discuss their futures, according to reports

The Daily Express has claimed that Arsène is going to meet with the pair this week to try and resolve their situations, with Barcelona reportedly interested in bringing Bellerín to Catalonia, and Manchester City the most linked club to Alexis. Their main source seems to be The Sun, so this should all be taken with a pinch of salt.

Alexis’ future is a hot topic at the moment, so this is an easy story to write that will generate a lot of interest. The links to City haven’t been backed up by any reliable source, with Arsenal oracle David Ornstein claiming that there still haven’t been any bids for the Gunners’ top scorer.

Regardless, it does seem likely that Wenger and Alexis will need to meet soon to put the speculation to bed and get some clarification over how Arsenal will be lining up next season.

But whilst Wenger does need to sort out Alexis’ contract in the coming weeks, Bellerín has a deal that lasts until 2023, so this is far less urgent.

The current alternatives in terms of full-time right-backs at the club are Debuchy and Jenkinson, both of whom have been selected behind Oxlade-Chamberlain in recent months.

Unless Arsenal have a world class alternative lined up, and Barcelona are offering a seriously high fee, it doesn’t seem like Hector will be leaving anytime soon.
