The Bundesliga Champions could turn their attention to Chelsea’s Willian if they fail to land Alexis Sanchez.

  • Bayern may be put off by Alexis’ wage demands
  • They could tempt Willian with more playing time
  • The Brazilian has been second-fiddle to Pedro and Eden Hazard this season

Although Alexis Sanchez is Carlo Ancelotti’s first choice, reports from Germany suggest that Bayern are unwilling to meet his wage demands.

Sanchez is currently on £150,000 p/w at Arsenal and is looking to double that.

Bayern are now looking at Chelsea’s Willian as an alternative. The Brazilian missed just four of Chelsea’s Premier League games, but only started 15 times.

The German club are hoping that the prospect of more first team football could persuade Willian to leave Chelsea.

The news could be a boost to Arsenal’s chances of keeping hold of Alexis, as it’s one less club vying for his signature.

Arsenal are said to be willing to meet the Chilean’s wage demands, but face stiff competition from the likes of Manchester City.
