According to reports, Inter Milan have opened talks with Alexis Sanchez over a summer move.

The Serie A club’s interest in the Chilean is nothing new but now Italian outlet, Calcio Mercato, is claiming in an exclusive that Inter have now made contract over bringing the forward over.

Alexis’ contract with Arsenal runs out in summer 2018 and while Arsene Wenger has confirmed that negotiations, which appears to have stalled, must now wait until the summer, it’s been widely reported that one of the sticking points has been the 28-year-old’s wages.

At the moment, Alexis gets a reports £120,000 a week, which he allegedly wants to increase to £300,000.

If Inter want him, they’ll also have to meet his apparent wage demands, which they’ll find difficult since this is far more than the Serie A club pays its players.

Even if they wanted to pay Alexis that sum and their rich Chinese owners allowed it, this would have a knock-on affect since then all the players would expect raises. It’s something Inter simply can’t do.
