Arsenal are reportedly after Udinese midfielder, Jakub Jankto.

  • Jankto started his career at SK Slavia Prague
  • Jakub Jankto signed for Udinese’s youth team in 2014
  • Jankto’s contract runs out in 2019

Jankto, 21, has allegedly caught Arsenal’s eye and, according to the Mirror, the club see him as a star for the future who will play well behind Granit Xhaka.

What’s more is that Jankto is apparently ‘curious’ about a potential move away from Udinese.

“I want to play abroad, to try some new experience. I’m curious, I want to know other things,” the defensive midfielder told Tuttomercatoweb via talkSPORT. “I certainly do not see myself in Italy too long, certainly not up to 25 years.”

This season is the first that the highly-rated youngster has managed to really break into the Udinese first team. He’s made 21 Serie A appearances, scoring four and assisting the same amount.

Last season, he made 39 appearances in Serie B while on loan with Ascoli and scored five. He also assisted nine.

The Czech international has represented his country since an under-17 level and has been capped twice for the senior team, scoring once against Lithuania in an international friendly.
