Laurent Koscielny says he sees no reason to leave Arsenal for as long as the club are happy with him, but he did not rule out a move away should that change.

In an interview which seems to have been given before the game against Tottenham, but not published until after, the central defender addressed rumours that he could leave with Bayern Munich one of the clubs interested in signing him.

”My future? I work really well at the club, and they are also happy with my work so I don’t see why there would be a reason to leave,” he said.

“Desire to travel? It is always possible, but at the moment I haven’t bought a plane ticket.”

Although Kos stole the headlines after the 1-1 draw with Spurs because of his idiotic tackle on Mousa Dembele which gave the midfielder the chance he was waiting for to fall over, he was generally excellent against them.

He usually is.

This season, prior to the game against Tottenham, Kos had grabbed the following stats:

  • Fouls committed – 2 (both on Diego Costa)
  • Defensive errors – 0
  • Interceptions – 28
  • Blocks – 10
  • Clearances – 53
  • Tackles won – 8
  • Tackles lost – 5
  • Passes – 477
  • Pass accuracy – 88%
  • Goals – 2

This week, Kos will be with France as they play Sweden on Friday, 11 November in a World Cup qualifier before facing Ivory Cost in a friendly on Tuesday, 15 November.
