Arsene Wenger spoke to the press ahead of Arsenal’s Champions League clash against Ludogorets in Sofia.

The boss, accompanied by a newly fit Olivier Giroud, explained how the Gunners should approach the game. He believes that we need to find the balance between being confident without taking our opposition for granted, something we’ve been guilty of on more than one occasion in the past.

“We must keep a good balance between vigilance and confidence,” the boss said.

“That is what is at stake.

“We are both attacking sides so this should be an interesting match.”

Despite winning 6-0 against the Bulgarian at the Emirates a few weeks ago, when we were just one goal to the good, the visitors looked dangerous and could have equalised more than once.

On their turf, they’ll be even stronger so we can’t afford to rest on our laurels. We don’t have to thrash them but killing the game nice and early (note: NOT like how we beat Sunderland on Saturday) will prevent any nasty surprises.

We’ll likely see a rotated starting XI and some fresh legs so hopefully they’re up to the task.
