Mesut Ozil has taken to Twitter to reassure worried Arsenal fans that he’s not injured after being substituted off at half time during German’s 2-0 World Cup Qualifier win against Northern Ireland.
Two early goals from rumoured Arsenal target Julian Draxler and Juventus star, Sami Khedira, saw the Germans cruise to a relatively simple win. However, Gooners’ hearts were in their mouths when the second half started and there was no Mesut Ozil to be seen.
Naturally, Twitter didn’t do much to quash that familiar gnawing feeling in the pit of our stomachs.
Hope Ozil is okay is just rested and not injured.

Alexis will be rested Saturday. Looks like Ozil is injured too.

Look how worried we were about Ozil being potentially injured, imagine the pain when he leaves Arsenal

That is until the playmaker himself decided to tweet, thanking everyone for being concerned and assuring us that he’s alright.

Thank goodness for that.
Although, as one pessimistic Gooner tweeted, if we’re like this when we just think he’s injured, what will we be like when he leaves?
Not that he’s going to leave, of course. Mesut Ozil will be at Arsenal for ever… and ever… and ever…
